FiXT INDIE STORE SPOTLIGHT

The new FiXT Store has been officially online for 1 month, and we'd like to thank everyone who has taken the time to check out the new products, artists, store interface & features. One of those new additions in the new store is the 'Indie Artist' section. Many of you reading this have already taken notice of those Indie Artist's in the store, but it is my pleasure to now give you a more official introduction & background on these artists over the course of several spotlight features. In this first edition, I'll be covering the Indie Artists with roots in the FiXT Remix & Celldweller Remix Competitions and in future editoins I'll be covering several other partner labels & bands that have teamed up with us in our Indie Store.

Sincerely,
James Rhodes

Part I - Remixers

Over the past 2 years, many of the active remixers from the Celldweller & FiXT remix competitions have been busy at work, writing & recording original materal, but not necessarily with a release or marketing strategy in mind. FiXT has taken note of these artists through their contributions to the remix community, seen them develop their production & writing skills and taken interest in creating an opportunity for these artists to connect their solo albums back with the community. It's from this position that FiXT developed the 'Indie Store' as a distribution program for independent artists to have a way to release music through the FiXT Store and giving them a way to market & promote their albums to the community. As an indie label, FiXT knows firsthand, the value and magnitude of having fans take the time to discover new artists and support them through not only purchasing their music, but spreading word-of-mouth awareness for them.

We hope you will take some time to check out each of the following artists, visit their product pages on the store, listen to previews of the music, friend request them on Myspace and/or leave them comments/feedback and if you enjoy the music, support them with a purchase. We want to cultivate an independent minded community that supports it's artists and we thank each of you for participating.
