Formed in 2004, BulletProof Messenger is an electronic rock band based in NY. The group's touring history includes slots with many national acts including major recording artists Incubus, Trapt, Collective Soul, Blindside, Adema and more, performing overseas as well as in the United States. The group has released 2 full length albums which have both received rave reviews. According to Tunelabmusic.com "'The Crucial Line' is a fourteen song goliath of a rock album that has enough Aces under the table and rabbits in its hat to make Criss Angel cry to mommy. - Well there's good. Then there's great. And then there's 'Arm Yourself'."
Career Defining Moment: Between performing with Incubus and going to Europe to perform, there have definitely been a few moments in this band's career that have really kept us going. The trip over to the UK was a great experience for all of us. It really exposed us to a totally different crowd and we had a great time meeting our fans we've been in contact with for a while but never had the chance to perform for before that.
Inspired by: Since every member in the group has such distinct taste in music, it is a pretty broad range of styles and artists. Anything from Rage Against The Machine to The Prodigy, to 311 to Led Zeppelin, has influenced one track or another.
Currently Listening To: We've been listening to a lot of Backstreet Boys, Aqua, and Britney Spears (the new releases in particular. We think she has grown a lot musically and her new lyrics really speak to us.) However, our favorite is definitely hanging outside of Marcus's 1978 Firebird and pumping Ace of Base.
Collaboration Wish List: It would be a great experience to work with any of our many influences but it would definitely be cool to have a Celldweller remix of some of our tracks.
Dream Project: Getting our music into feature films and working on a soundtrack from the ground up would be a great experience.
Final Word: In the words of the late great Mitch Hedberg… "You cant please everyone all of the time and last night, all of those people were at my show"
