Empty is an Electronic-Industrial band which began in 2005 as a studio project by Sydney based musicians Aaron Potter and Daniel Brunet. By combining elements of Glitch and pulsing electronics overlaid with vast, sweeping soundscapes, Empty have defined a new style for themselves.
Launching their debut EP in 2006 gained the band worldwide recognition and pushed Empty to take their unique style into the local live scene during 2007. Early 2008 brought the release of a follow up EP and by the end of the year delivered the latest installment "Never Get To You", which sculpts the beginning of a new era and highlights new sounds from the upcoming album.
Studio:

Career Defining Moment: Playing an opening gig for VNV Nation in Sydney. The guys put on an amazing show and were incredibly genuine. To our surprise they took the time to give our music a real listen and meet up with us after the show for some inspiring words.
Inspired by: Front Line Assembly, Hybrid, Skinny Puppy, Sci-Fi, Horror, Nature, Coffee & Technology.
Currently Listening To: Faith No More, IAMX, Pendulum and quite a few film score composers such as John Murphy and Clint Mansell.
Collaboration Wish List: We would love to collaborate on a track with Anhedonia, genCAB or a band like Pendulum or any dark and interesting Drum and Bass artists.
Dream Project: We'd love work on a film soundtrack whether it be a music score or sound FX. The very thought of locking ourselves away and writing a score or heading out into the field and mic-ing up anything and everything in sight to find that perfect sample is the dream.
Final Word: Expect to hear some new previews from our forthcoming album 'Surfacing'. We've chosen ten tracks to represent the album and are currently in the mixing stage with a handful of ideas that we are fleshing out. Also, we will be giving away a free digital instrumental pack containing unique mixes of past tracks. We want to offer this as a gift to our listeners to show our appreciation and as a sampler for newcomers. Look out for it in August.
