Deconbrio frontman Danny Rendo wants as many people as possible to know who he is and what he is about. So, the decision to make the debut release, "Obsessions of a False Idol", a free download was easy.

"I wouldn't say the local scene in South Florida is dead, but it feels like it's on life support and the doctor's hand is on the plug. All of the good electronic bands have gone into hiding, or are stuck playing in tiny, no-named venues - either way, they aren't getting the recognition they deserve."

One concept behind "... False Idol" was a "David-And-Goliath-Like onslaught between the starving artist, the music industry and the assembly-line of music they force-feed to the world". Seeing how numerous musicians suffer from the vicious reality of music becoming more product than art, Deconbrio wanted to speak their mind.

Their forthcoming EP "The Vanishing", to be released digitally via Bit Riot Records, is a bit more personal. What starts off as a much needed retaliation toward the demons in Danny's head will soon manifest into a story of anger, vengence and obscure fantasy.

"When it comes to writing lyrics, I like to both make it very whole, but leave a lot open for the listener's interpretation. Let them build their own storyline. To me, no matter what's going on in my head, the music I write is always the perfect soundtrack, and I hope others can do the same."

Too many things inspire me to list. However, some of the people who have inspired me are Trent Reznor, my parents, and Deviant Nation.

Currently Listening To:
There has been quite an eclectic mix playing on my Zune. Everything from Enigma, Nine Inch Nails, Killswitch Engage, Mindless Self Indulgence, The Knife, Metric, Team Sleep… the list goes on.

Collaboration Wish List:
I wouldn't mind collaborating with any of the other artists on Bit Riot.

Dream Project:
I've been getting into video editing again. It's really got me wanting to make a feature length film.
