The driving force behind ALEX LAMB'S production career is obvious, but you'd be wrong in thinking that his successful start is based on this philosophy alone. He started writing melodic trance at the tender age of 14. After three years or so, his productions started to take on a harder sound, with ALEX drawing heavily from influences such as SHOKK, A*S*Y*S AND UBERDRUCK.
Translating his new sound back into trance led to a chance-meeting which would prove to be one of the most influential of his career so far. A bootleg of a RUSSENMAFIA track Alex had posted on his Myspace page caught the attention of rising Swedish hard trance star ULTRAFORM, through whom Alex was introduced to MAUGUZUN and JOHAN EKMAN. Encouraged by their success and support, Alex (under the name AEX) secured his first release, the hard/acid trance track "FEEL MY WRATH" on LIQUID PULSE in December, 2008. The track received an impressive 4/5 star rating in I-DJ MAGAZINE and led to Alex doing remix work for VANDALL and CHI-GU KOM.
During that same time period, Alex had a chance meeting with Meighan Nealon, a member of one of the rising teams in the EDM world who introduced ALEX to label mates YUAN and ASHLEY WALLBRIDGE, for whom Alex remixed the track "My Blood".
2009 will see a new Alex Lamb EP, one that personifies his musical roots in hard trance while expanding it into new spaces of techy flair and aggression unique to him. The new releases are near complete and should be hitting the playlists with no hesitation.
