Industriarts Studio is Nathan Winter, a one-man design studio based in the Washington D.C. Metro area. Founded in 2004, Industriarts Studio has been churning out high-quality design solutions for a wide variety of clients across the United States and Europe for the past 5 years.
I started experimenting with digital art, photography, mixed media and design in college. A few years after graduating I began to design professionally - mostly flyers and CD sleeves for friends and acquaintances involved in the Madison and Milwaukee Industrial scenes. Industriarts Studio was officially born when I created artwork for State of the Union in 2004.

Career Defining Moment:
Creating artwork for State of the Union's Timerunner single in 2004 was definitely a career defining moment. It was the first professional project I did for a major record label and really launched me into the world of CD packaging design. After that, everything just kinda fell into place.
Inspired by:
Musically, the range is extensive. My grandfather loved music and exposed me to many types when I was a child. From Wendy Carlos and her Moog synths to disco, latin, classical - this helped develop and shape my love for music. I am also inspired by technology, both musical and non-musical alike. When i discovered the computer, it changed the way I lived, worked and communicated. A lot of writing and visual art that I am inspired by is usually science fiction / futuristic in nature. Surprise, surprise.
Pretty much everything, inspiration is all around me. Music, film, television, magazines, photography, the internet, fashion, etc. I will sometimes draw influence from past art movements or design styles.

Currently Listening To:
A little bit of everything really. Everything from Synth-Pop to Terror EBM to Post-Hardcore. I enjoy a wide variety of musical styles. I'm really diggin' the new Informatik CD. Once in a while I will take a break from industrial music and listen to something completely different. Lately, I have really been into the Post-Hardcore group, Funeral for a Friend.
Collaboration Wish List:
As far as musicians go, I would love to work with Combichrist. They have a dark and gritty aesthetic that would mesh well with my style. Plus I love their music! As far as visual artists go, UserDX has always been someone I've wanted to collaborate with.
Dream Project:
I would love to get into motion graphics and work on a music video or a backing video for a band's live performance.
