Mozart Khadaffi

Once introduced, one is never mistaken about the consistent style of Mozart Khadaffi. The compositions in harmony and form don't allow of any marked definition of genre, yet M.K. is frequently placed in alternative genres such as Industrial and so-called Alternative Rock - an educated, but far from adequate reference. The independent genre and characteristic stage show have brought about various comparisons with bands from T. Rex to Marilyn Manson, from David Bowie to Mr. Bungle. These comparisons can be slightly useful to the stickler for comparison. The sound of Mozart Khadaffi is built on a unity of analogue and digital instrumentation; bass, guitar, drums, vocal and an equally dominating expanse of melody structures, conducted by singer Ant, embracing all from industrial sounds to organized instruments, orchestral as well as synthetic. The overall result is a wide and well-developed musical panorama, creating a style which M.K., inspired by a review, calls Warped Industrial.

The 2008 debut of Mozart Khadaffi draws comparisons to Marilyn Manson, T. Rex, Foetus, and Mr. Bungle; their brand of alternative and industrial rock exists in the space between, not fitting into any one pigeonholed mold.
