About Synthetic Minister:

Through the use of unconventional noise and sound layering, merged with hyper-isolationist lyrics and bipolar vocal/instrument styling, Synthetic Minister is an ambitious live and studio project quickly garnering underground attention.

Synthetic Minister started in Vancouver, BC, Canada in 2004 as the studio project of Steve Nikolic and Rob Hubbard, later in the year Michael Ferns would bring live percussion to both studio recording and live events. In 2005 Synthetic Minister shared the bill with Collide on their North American tour.

In 2006, Synthetic Minister's touring cycle for the "Being For Others" EP came to a close as the band would start work on its third album Cult Following. During recording, long time band graphic/web designer AJ would join Synthetic Minister as its first full time guitar player, bringing a heavier and more aggressive sound to the band. Synthetic Minister has developed a devoted world wide fan base, through the use of just about every social networking site available.

Synthetic Minister has had their music showcased on a variety of college radio stations. The song "Just Another Part" has become a dance floor favourite at many Industrial/Goth night clubs.

If you were to describe the sound of Synthetic Minister, the best comparison would be NIN Pre-Fragile meets Skold. Blending together Industrial, Electronic Rock, and Glitch, the band's unique, dark and catchy songs have become favourites of the Vancouver club, and electro-alternative scene. Notable Synthetic Minister tracks include "Just Another Part", "No Sympathy", and "Locust". Band Influences include Machines of Loving Grace, KMFDM, Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy.
